Pacific Exploration & Production Corporation explores for, develops, and produces crude oil and natural gas primarily in Colombia, Guyana, Peru, Guatemala, Brazil, and Belize. The company owns interest in the Quifa heavy oil fields in the Llanos Basin; and the La Creciente, Guama, and other blocks in Colombia, as well as in the Piedra Redonda field in Block Z-1 in Peru. It also holds interest in the CPE-6 block, which is part of the same heavy oil belt that includes the Quifa fields; and the Tinigua Block in Colombia. The company has interest in 47 blocks comprising 40 blocks in Colombia, 6 blocks in Peru, and 1 block in Belize. As of December 31, 2016, it had total net proved and probable oil and gas reserves of 170.7 million barrels of oil equivalent. The company was formerly known as Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. and changed its name to Pacific Exploration & Production Corporation in August 2015. Pacific Exploration & Production Corporation was incorporated in 1985 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
